WHO WE ARE

Taking care of yourself is something to be proud of.

At Rebel Hearts Barbering, we believe great grooming is timeless, but your style should always feel personal. We deliver consistent, high-quality work in a relaxed, welcoming space for our Brookside community.

Timeless grooming for the rebellious at heart

The name Rebel Hearts comes from Will’s first motorcycle, an ’87 Rebel. It represented independence, craftsmanship, and doing things with intention — values that carry into the way we approach barbering every day.

For us, the word “rebel” isn’t about going against people. It’s about staying true to your standards, thinking outside the box, and taking pride in your work and your appearance.

That mindset shows up in everything we do, from the details in a haircut to the way we welcome clients into the shop.

Will Boyer

Owner & Barber est. 2020

He specializes in precision haircuts, fades, beard grooming, and straight razor shaves, with a strong focus on consistency and attention to detail.

In Will’s spare time he enjoys going to heavy metal shows, playing video games, watching horror movies, riding his 1987 Rebel and spending time with his wife, two dogs and cat.

Shelby Kinney

Cosmetologist & Barber est. 2013

Shelby is a boisterous, fun-loving barber who has been behind the chair since 2013, when she was trained right out of school in a barbershop in Waldo. She’s been slinging cuts ever since, building loyal clients and helping people feel confident in their look.

Outside the shop, Shelby loves to sing and spend time with her two basset hounds, Clyde and Daisy. She recently bought a home near the zoo with her longtime partner, and enjoys being part of the local community.

And yes, if you sit in her chair long enough, you might hear the story about the time she chopped off her finger in a gate. She bounced back and hasn’t missed a beat since.
